Yuck!
This is a small section of Jake's arm. There are about 20 bites just on this part of his arm!

Scouting Misadventures!

This summer seems to be flying by...anyone feel that way too? This week has been crazy! Jake left for scout camp on Monday. He knew it was going to be tough, but he couldn't wait! He loves hiking and camping. It was a major hike in and Jake's pack was over 50 pounds. They were to hike to a new camp everyday. They are supposed to come home Friday. Yesterday I got a call from a friend who said that Jake was coming home from camp with her husband and 2 other boys. I was worried, but she said he was okay but she wasn't sure why he was coming home. It turns out that on the way up to the Uintah's (they were going to Granddaddy Basin) the boy sitting next to Jake in the car turned and out of the blue threw up all over Jake! By Tuesday evening Jake and the other boy in the car besides the one who threw up, started throwing up and another scout too. Jake was so grateful to be home where he could get in a bath and put on clean clothes. He is also covered in atleast 100 mosquito bites! I've never seen so many, and they are giant welts. He said he used the bug spray and used some that someone else had that had the highest Deet you can buy,, but he was still eaten alive. Today he is on Benadryl and covering his bites with hydracortisone creme. The Pharmacist said Jake needs to take a Vitamin B1 supplement if he goes where there are a lot of mosquitoes because it will repel them. Jake is such a sweet kid and obviously has "sweet" blood too!

Ben and me at Disneyland, "the happiest place in the world!"

Ryan, Grandma Lynne (Becky's mom) and Jake at Disneyland!
Ben waterskiing at East Canyon!

I love this picture of my sister, Angie and my nephew, Luke. So Cute! This is up in Park City over the 4th of July. It's a family tradition that we all love.

Ryan is quite the pro at riding the waves to the beach!
Josh loves to go motorcycling at his Grandpa Carl's property in Spring City!
Ben's Baby!!! 1972 Ford Bronco!!!

Jake enjoyed Boogie Boarding with his new board he got for Christmas. We were at Newport Beach and then went down to Mission Beach in San Diego. Jake had a great time catching the waves until he was stung by a stingray at Mission Beach. The stingray cut the side of Jake's foot and hit a vein (gross)! Jake was bleeding all over. The lifeguards were great and took Jake into their clinic where he had to soak his foot in the hottest water he could stand for 45 minutes!! Afterwards we wrapped up Jake's foot and he was brave enough to get in the ocean again.
I find great joy playing the piano and teaching it to my students! Thanks mom for pushing me hard and not letting me quit! It was so worth it!

21st century we're finally here!

We are finally here with our own blog! The kids have been begging me to set one up ever since their Aunt Angie did. So, here I am trying to figure this out. I was also very inspired looking at my friend, Tamara's blog. It is amazing. I figured I might as well and it sure is a great way to keep in touch with friends and loved ones.
We are the Timm Family. Ben and I have been married almost 18 terrific years and have the three greatest kids EVER! Josh is 16 and just got his Driver's License. He is enjoying a new found freedom and having tons of fun being able to just go! Jake is 12 and excited to start middle school this year. He is starting football again this year and is excited to be on the "A" team once more. Ryan is in 4th grade and has the best 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Cedor. Her students love to go to school just to be around her! Ryan is also playing football and is so fun to watch because he is such a go getter!
