Life has been so busy lately! Jake came home from scout camp last week sick, as you may recall. Well, as of yesterday he was still sick! His football practices have been a nightmare! He has done well, but he has been so sick and has almost thrown up several times at practices. Wednesday he was just too sick to go. He has a lot of stomach pain and is completely fatigued all the time. Our doctor, Dr. Peterson, wanted Jake to come in yesterday. It turns out that he has an infection (viral) in his intestines. Dr. Peterson feels that his immune system was just overloaded last week when he was exposed to the stomach flu, and the millions of mosquito bites. He gave Jake a prescription of Phenergan for the nausea and we're just going to wait and see if Jake can kick this bug in the next day or two. He also said Jake needs to rest, so no football for a few days.
Last night was our Relief Society Summer Social and they asked if I would host it in our backyard. It was such a great evening and our yard looked pretty good. Everyone brought a type of salad. The food was delicious! The women in my ward are just the best!
I am so glad there isn't much going on today except piano lessons for Ryan and football tonight (Jake is going to just sit and watch his team and Ryan has practice too).
