Jake's game against Brighton last Saturday was HUGELY stressful!! 3 of their linemen didn't play because they went hunting instead. Jake wanted to go hunting with Ben too, but he knew that he had made a commitment to his team. Well, we played hard, but ended up losing by 12. During the game, Jake was speared in the back. This was the first time that a game was ever stopped due to Jake. The coaches ran out to him and worked with him for a few minutes and then helped him off the field. He was out a play, but then said he felt like he could go back in. Grandpa Ken and Grandma Lynne came to this game and it was overwhelming for grandma to see Jake on the ground like that. After the game, Jake went up and hugged her and thanked her for coming to his game. Grandma started crying as the emotion of seeing her sweet grandson injured like that came flooding up. We are grateful Jake is okay and he is looking forward to beating Jordan today!!!
